Based on the current exhibition "Not working - Artistic Production and Social Class", Maurin Dietrich will discuss the controversial subject "Is art a question of social class?" live and digitally with us.

Maurin Dietrich, born in 1990 art historian, who most recently worked as a curator at the KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin, took the Kunstverein on a radically new track when she took office in 2019 with her exhibition "Wall Sits" by Diamond Stingily: "There is in the arts, the fiction, that the so-called art scene is a creative class of its own. Nevertheless, I think that class differences are particularly visible here and that economic circumstances are expressed in the artistic works. ”In 2014, the then director of the Kunstverein, Bart van der Heide (now director of the Museion - Museum for Modern and Contemporary Art Bolzano) was a guest at Munich Speech®. We are now looking forward to an exciting conversation with the second woman on the director's chair of the Kunstverein and to you, our audience!
