October 2019 in the Residenztheater. Andreas Beck started his Residenztheater directorship with a cornucopia of exciting new pieces. A new era dawned and in Munich the new productions and those that he brought with him from his previous, multi-award-winning place of work, the Theater Basel, were celebrated with great success. One premiere followed the next one after the other, starting with the world premiere / commissioned work "Die Verloren", an oppressive contemporary drama that tells of a woman who returns to the place of her childhood - and of course can no longer find her way around there. Of course, Simon Stone also reported on the search for meaning in his brilliant Chekhov production “Three Sisters”. The Residenztheater was trembling with energy, with 27 premieres planned from October 2019 to July 2020. And then the “Lockdown”. The house opened again after Pentecost.
