Under the motto "Discourse Art & Economy" I will talk with Dr. Barbara Karuth-Zelle about resource responsibility. Based on the exhibition LIVE WIRE by the artist Judith Fegerl on the hot topic of "energy" and the artistic visualization of the structural dependency on energy, I make the connection to the private and professional commitment, namely the responsibility for resources, from Dr. Karuth-Zelle. As a passionate diver, she often sees pollution, overfishing and the destruction of underwater habitat right in front of her eyes. She is therefore actively involved in the preservation of healthy oceans, both privately and professionally. In her role as Alliance Board Member and Chief Operating Officer, she initiated a partnership with Sea Shepherd, an international marine conservation organization, among other activities. The alliance finances the ship "Sea Eagle" to support the organization's work against illegal fishing and plastic waste in the Mediterranean.

The Viennese artist Judith Fegerl, who is showing a solo exhibition in the 400 square meter Kunstraum Dornbirn since February 24th with great media coverage, provokes an existential reflection on the availability and use of resources with her multifaceted works.
